Since 2014, Blooming Lotus Jewelry has been supporting a family-owned small business in Rishikesh, India, by sourcing all of our sandalwood beads from them. In October of 2014, I met with the family in person at their shop in the heart of Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga. Our sandalwood is sustainably sourced in Mysore, India, adhering to harvesting regulations and using fair-trade practices. It then makes its way to my supplier in Rishikesh, before heading to us here in the U.S. to be assembled into various mala designs unique to Blooming Lotus Jewelry. We are proud to know our source personally and directly support their family for the past 10 years.

A little pricey for sandlewood beads but beautiful. The pin that holds the stone on sticks out and keeps getting caught on sweaters.

Hi Darlene! I'm glad you think your mala is beautiful! The pin should not catch on your sweaters. I apologize for not catching that and will gladly replace the pin. I would also accept a return if you feel the quality does not meet the price. Sandalwood used is fair trade, natural (no oils used) and sustainably harvested in Mysore, India. easing the mind one bead at a time

Loving my mala! I was a little worried that it would be overly large, but that isn't the case. The subtle sandalwood smell is very soothing and w/ every bead and mantra I feel greater peace and stillness.

Beautiful colors

The colors are beautiful when you wear it, green aventurine and pink stones are so lovely together! It's a great everyday wear kind of mala.. And as always Jenn uses the best quality sandalwoods, you can smell them and feel them for a very long time if you keep them in the box that comes with... love!!!
